Madison County 4-H Archery is proud to announce that John Reynolds and Mary Pruitt have been awarded top two honors for the state shoot held in Perry, Georgia at the Georgia National Fairgrounds on January 18, 2025. Mary placed first in the Junior Female Compound Division, and John placed second in the Junior Male Compound Division. The entire team had an amazing indoor season, and are looking forward to great outdoor competitions. The Madison County 4-H Archery team members competed with over 800 archers from across Georgia participated in the 2-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madison County 4-H Cloverleaf team members (4th-6th grades) competing were Kennedy Allmon, Reed Garrison, Josiah Hickman, Robert Peiper, Hunter Pritchett, and Andrew Reynolds. Henry Bartenfeld, Owen Brow, James Montgomery, Mary Pruitt, and John Reynolds competed as Junior members (7th-8th grade) and Ciera Turner competed on the Senior level (9th-12th grade). Madison County 4-H was well represented by these young people. The entire team had an amazing indoor season, and are looking forward to great outdoor competitions. Team members have been practicing weekly since October 2022 in preparation for the state contest. This opportunity would not be possible without the dedication and hard-work of volunteer coaches. The 2024-25 coaches include head coach Troy Turner, Kevin Pruitt and Hal Reynolds and fellow coaches.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The 4-H Archery Program is a part of the Georgia 4-H Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education Program (S.A.F.E.). Project S.A.F.E. is an active program, attractive to youth and adult audiences 4-H is the youth program of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
