This immersive learning experience focused on agricultural engineering with a 2022 theme of \u201cRooted in Agriculture.\u201d Students learned about the engineering design process and then built functional wheelbarrows and windmills from the concepts they learned. These two inventions have impacted agricultural operations across the world for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was great to see the teamwork, planning, and communication skills when building their engineering projects together. Jay Moon, representative of USDA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.usda.gov\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.usda.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Farm Service Agency<\/a>, spoke to attendees about farm loans and career possibilities. Moon also brought a calf from his local dairy farm as a special guest for his presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/georgia4h.org\/programs\/focus-areas\/agriculture-stem\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/georgia4h.org\/programs\/focus-areas\/agriculture-stem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agriculture and STEM<\/a><\/strong> programs are one of Georgia 4-H\u2019s focus areas and tends to use hands-on activities to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills in young people.
