A website from UGA Cooperative Extension

If you are a parent who has a student in 4-H that would like to chaperone on future trips, have an interest in starting back up a special interest club, or are retired and looking for something to keep you busy, you should apply to be a Volunteer! Everyone knows the struggle of finding time in their busy schedules to do something they actually enjoy. We have students asking every week when we can bring the Archery Club back, Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging, Horse Club, etc. All those clubs take time, money, and a willing heart of a volunteer to run. If this is something that may interest you, feel free to reach out to us. You can also email (shelby.mumma@uga.edu) with any questions you may have. To learn more about the volunteer application process, you can click on the ‘Get Involved’ tab on the Georgia 4-H website or visit our own link on the Long County 4-H website. It has been an honor watching youth in Long County enjoy our summer programming. We are looking forward to another great school year, even if it is virtual for now!
