Liberty will be responsible for helping run our 4-H club meetings in school, specialty clubs outside of school, and will plan and coordinate other 4-H and youth events. We asked Liberty to provide a little introduction to herself and her background, so read on to learn more about her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cHi Lincoln County, my name is Liberty Wilson and I am the new 4-H Program Assistant here at the Lincoln County Extension Office. I have lived in Lincoln County for six years and just recently got married over the summer. My husband and I have a beautiful seven-month-old baby boy. In my free time, I really enjoy spending time with my family, arts and crafts, and reading. I look forward to working with Lincoln County 4-H\u2019ers to provide our community a fun filled and educational 4-H program! Please feel free to stop by our office, I\u2019d love to meet any current or future 4-H\u2019ers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Our 4-H programs have started back up this fall in coordination with the Lincoln County School District. As a reminder, we have 4-H activities available from 5<sup>th<\/sup> to 12<sup>th<\/sup> grades. In 5<sup>th<\/sup> grade, all students are automatically 4-H\u2019ers and attend a club meeting in-school once a month. From 6<sup>th<\/sup> to 8<sup>th<\/sup> grades, students have club meetings once every other month during school and on the off months, are welcome to join our high school club meeting. Our high schoolers (9<sup>th<\/sup>-12<sup>th<\/sup> grades) meet once a month before school. Club meetings usually consist of announcements, upcoming events and important dates, and a short lesson. Some of our topics include \u201cwhat is 4-H\u201d, \u201cwhy animal science\u201d, \u201cDistrict Project Achievement\u201d, \u201cspeech writing\u201d and more! In addition to club meetings, we provide opportunities for public speaking, competitions, specialty clubs, service\/volunteer hours, and fun activities. Our next 4-H meetings will be held on Friday, October 15<sup>th<\/sup> (in school) for our 5<sup>th<\/sup> graders and Friday, October 29<sup>th<\/sup> (before school) for our middle and high schoolers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As always, we can\u2019t write a 4-H article without thanking our fantastic Lincoln County teachers, school staff, district administration, families, and students. We are so thankful for everything you do for the youth in Lincoln County and hope we can continue to work together and make the best better.
