The purpose of the award is to recognize 4-H members&nbsp;who have demonstrated consistent growth in their 4-H involvement, developed and applied their leadership skills, and actively participated in the functions of their 4-H club and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for the 4-H Key Award, a 4-H&#8217;er must list on their application the activities they have completed in each of the following four areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GENERAL LEADERSHIP<br>TEEN LEADERSHIP<br>LEADERSHIP TRAINING<br>PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each activity has a designated number of points, and a 4-H&#8217;er must have 500 points to be eligible to receive the Key Award.&nbsp; Points are cumulative from 7th grade, so it is expected that 4-H&#8217;ers will take several years to reach the threshold for the 4-H Key Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.uga.edu\/content\/dam\/extension-county-offices\/gordon-county\/4h\/Georgia4-HKeyAward.pdf\">Applications<\/a> must be received in the Gordon County 4-H Office by June 26, 2020 to be considered for this year&#8217;s Key Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you an active 4-H&#8217;er that is in high school that has participated in leadership and project activities?&nbsp; You should apply for the 4-H Key Award!
