Are you an active 4-H’er that is in high school that has participated in leadership and project activities?  You should apply for the 4-H Key Award!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 4-H Key Award is a county recognition program, sponsored for older 4-H members in Georgia 4-H. The purpose of the award is to recognize 4-H members who have demonstrated consistent growth in their 4-H involvement, developed and applied their leadership skills, and actively participated in the functions of their 4-H club and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To apply for the 4-H Key Award, a 4-H’er must list on their application the activities they have completed in each of the following four areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GENERAL LEADERSHIP
TEEN LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP TRAINING
PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each activity has a designated number of points, and a 4-H’er must have 500 points to be eligible to receive the Key Award.  Points are cumulative from 7th grade, so it is expected that 4-H’ers will take several years to reach the threshold for the 4-H Key Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications<\/a> must be received in the Gordon County 4-H Office by June 26, 2020 to be considered for this year’s Key Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
