Join us for 2020 Weekend in the Classic City: Everyone Has a Place! Weekend in the Classic City is a future-focused virtual program for high school aged 4-H’ers to explore pathways to higher education. In conjunction with Georgia Collegiate 4-H Chapters, this event showcases the University of Georgia in Athens, and allows youth to gather a firsthand experience of campus and higher education. This will be accomplished through a virtual tour of campus and tour of a residence hall. Additionally, youth will participate in workshops that provide information that helps guide their choices and actions related to their future. This will include hearing from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Undergraduate Admissions, The Office of Student Financial Aid, a student-led panel, and more! All participants registered for the event will receive supplies in a package mailed to their county 4-H office.
Registration: This opportunity is open to any 9th-12th grade 4-H member in the 2020-2021 school term. Registration is open until Wednesday, October 28. There is a registration cost of $10 to cover the cost of shipping supplies. To register, please email the 4-H agent at allie723@uga.edu.
