Georgia 4-H is proud to offer three (and possibly more!) exciting “Zoom into Science” sessions as a way for 4-H members to engage with real-world scientists.  These online, 1-hour zoom sessions allow participants to learn more from experts in their field as well as being exposed to a variety of science-related careers.  Each Zoom will end with a “question and answer” session with the scientist(s), giving 4-H’ers the opportunity to directly engage with these individuals.  Families will pre-register using the links provided.  E-mail confirmations with the Zoom log-in instructions will only be sent to registered attendees.

LabX and the National Academy of Sciences are offering fun and eco-friendly challenges during May … Plastic Games!  Each Monday afternoon at 3:00PM eastern, a challenge and judging criteria will be posted on their website.  These challenges use everyday plastic products and educate youth and families about plastic consumption.  Participants have until Sunday at 5:00PM eastern to submit photos/videos of their creation to Facebook or Twitter.  All of the contest rules can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/plasticgames.  The first challenge will be posted on Monday, May 4, 2020.

If Georgia 4-H’ers choose to submit entries, we’d greatly appreciate it if they used an additional hashtag (in addition to the requirements outlined by LabX) for us to see and possibly share their entries.  Please use: #GA4HPlasticGames.
