I would like to invite youth interested in the livestock industry to come on out to our 1st Annual Livestock Skillathon Camp and Contest to be held in Gordon County on June 11-15 2018!
The Livestock Skillathon is an event geared towards those kids interested in a career in the livestock WORLD. We will have activities including but not limited to Livestock Breeds, Feed, and Livestock Equipment Identification, as well as learning how to administer vaccines and calculate withdrawal dates. Along with these, there will be a variety of scenarios of how to pick your livestock under certain conditions. We will truly cover every part of the industry as we dive off into meats judging and identification, as well as sharpening your knowledge on hay and even wool judging! There will be team and individual activities with marketing and the different ways to incorporate that into your livestock of choice.
This experience will truly be one that you will not want to miss out on! Entries are due by June 1st at the 4-H Office.
