Georgia 4-H is happy to host Mission Make-It: The Georgia 4-H Engineering Challenge, held this year on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Rock Eagle 4-H Center from9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Mission Make-It is an exciting educational, non-competitive event for middle school students to engage in the engineering design process, teamwork, and critical thinking. Due to generous 4-H donor support, registration for the 2024 Mission Make-It is $5.00/person, which includes lunch, facility fees, supplies, and insurance. Mission Make-It is open to any 6th-8th grade 4-H member in the 2024-2025 school term. Event Registration is now open and will remain open until Wednesday, September 4, 2024, but registration is limited. Please click this link to email Mrs. Allie to register. Registration will not be complete until payment and required forms has been received by the 4-H office.
A limited number of teen leaders will be selected to serve in leadership roles during the event. Certified 9th-12th grade (for the 2024-2025 school term) teen leaders are encouraged to apply to help facilitate lessons during the event in partnership with an assigned adult. Only Teen Leaders selected through the application process can participate in the day. Accepted teen leaders will not have to pay the registration fee (lunch will be provided), but they must arrange for their own transportation (if no county group is attending), must be willing to commit to the entire day, must bring an interactive exhibit for the exhibit fair, and must have completed the Georgia 4-H Certified Teen Leader training before the event.
