The 4-H shotgun team is open to youth in 6th-12th grade who live or go to school in Gordon County. Practices will be on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 and Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30 with district competition in mid-April and state competition on May 13. Fees are $50 for the modified trap team. Opportunities with trap, skeet, and sporting clays are also available, and have additional fees and practices that will be explained at the meeting. Hunter education certification is required for all shooters.

Our 4-H shotgun team will begin on Tuesday evening, January 17, at 6 p.m. with our shotgun team safety meeting and a much more detailed season overview. The safety meeting is mandatory for the 4-H’er interested in participating and at least one parent. You must RSVP for the meeting by Friday, January 13 at 5 p.m.
