These four Gordon County 4-H’res recently traveled to Mississipi for the Mississippi Youth Livestock Expo and did very well in a show with recordbreaking entries from 21 states!

Brooklyn Stamey was the youngest in her showmanship heat and earned 3rd place, as well as exhibiting a class winner and placing third in another class.

Breana Manning was 7th in a hard class of Senior Showmanship, and received 3rd, 6th, and 7th in wether classes.

Matthew Manning won his showmanship age class in both pigs and sheep. With pigs, he earned 2nd place with his Berkshire gilt, 3rd and 5th with his crossbred gilts, and 5th with his Yorkshire gilt. With sheep, he placed 3rd, 5th, and 6th in wether classes.

Hunter Petty placed 5th in senior showmanship for goats and 9th in senior showmanship for sheep. With his goats, he placed 9th with his wether and 2nd, 4th, and 6th with his does. He also placed 10th in his breeding ewe class in the sheep show.
