Visit Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega for fun environmental education classes! We are offering classes every Tuesday and Friday in December, January and February at 1pm. These are ideal field trip opportunities for homeschooling students to experience learning in the outdoors.

Here are a few of the classes we will offer this winter:

•             Stream Ecology – Learn about what lives in our creek while getting a little wet

•             Entomology – Dissect a grasshopper

•             Herpetology – Get up close to our reptile and amphibians friends

•             Pioneer Life – Live like a pioneer for a day

•             Survival – Do you have what it takes to survive in the wilderness?

The charge for a class is $10 per person age 4 and up (adults pay too).  Check out our Onsite Day Programs page for the full schedule and more details.

Your group is welcome to spend time enjoying Wahsega’s beautiful North Georgia mountain setting before or after your 1:00 class. We have miles of trails through the Chattahoochee National Forest, a pond, a creek with a waterfall, charcoal grills, fire rings, basketball, volleyball and a large rec fields. Wahsega is the perfect location for a group of homeschool families to lunch and learn and play during a warm winter day.
