It’s almost SNOW TIME! Gordon County Extension/4-H needs your votes this weekend for the 4-H snowman created by Americorps Service Member Shannon Pagano. You can go visit our snowman at the Calhoun Recreation Department, and vote for our entry using the QR code at the snowman or at the link below. Check out the pictures of this cute snowman!
Event Highlights:
- Date: December 1st – December 17th, 2023
- Location: Calhoun Recreation Department – 110 Recreation Drive, Calhoun, GA
- Community Viewing: Visitors are encouraged to explore the paved path connecting the Black & Yellow playground and the large parking lot to view all the innovative snowmen on display.
Voting:
- Everyone is invited to cast their votes for their favorite snowman. Votes are $1 per vote.
- Voters can use the QR code at each snowman or the following link to vote by PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=CX2GNGXAJHCM4. Please note: voters need to indicate their favorite snowman’s number in the comments. Gordon County Extension/4-H’s snowman is #40.
- Proceeds from the vote will be divided between the Gordon County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Calhoun Recreation Department, providing financial support to sustain and grow future Snowman Spectacular events.
Prizes
- Prizes await the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice award winners. Winners will receive a trophy, a waived registration fee for 2024, recognition on social media, and bragging rights.
- The People’s Choice awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) will be given to the snowmen with the most votes/money.
- The Judges’ Choice awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) will be chosen by judges from outside of our community. This year’s judges will include representatives from Atlanta Magazine, Rhyme & Reason Design, and the Georgia Visitor Information Center (Ringgold).
