A website from UGA Cooperative Extension

On Monday, December 18, we are hosting “Chickens and Charity,” where we will be combining two of our favorite things in 4-H, poultry judging and community service. Led by volunteer leader Carrie Parish, we will begin at the 4-H office at 1:00 p.m. with a workshop about chickens, eggs, and everything poultry. It is a great time to come try out the poultry judging team. Following the poultry judging workshop, we will be stuffing stockings for nursing home residents. For this project, we are in big need of donations for the stockings, so we are asking each 4-H’er attending to please bring at least 5 items with them, including things such as socks/slipper socks, lightweight blankets, back scratchers, activity books like crossword puzzles/word searches, chapstick, lotions, body wash, slippers, nail polish, books, small games, etc. You can certainly bring more than 5 if you would like to do so! We look forward to seeing you on Monday!
