Georgia 4-H is happy to host Mission Make-It: The Georgia 4-H Engineering Challenge, held this year on Saturday, September 09, 2023, at Rock Eagle 4-H Center from9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Mission Make-It is an exciting educational, non-competitive event for middle school students to engage in the engineering design process, teamwork, and critical thinking.  Our 2023 theme focuses on the strange phenomena of Idaho’s 1948 beaver repopulation strategy that included parachutes!  Seriously … it’s a real thing: https://www.boisestatepublicradio.org/environment/2015-01-14/parachuting-beavers-into-idahos-wilderness-yes-it-really-happened

Due to generous 4-H donor support, registration for the 2023 Mission Make-It is $5.00/person, which includes lunch, facility fees, supplies, and insurance.  Mission Make-It is open to any 6th-8th grade 4-H member in the 2023-2024 school term. Register at this link by Wednesday, August 30th, at 12:00 noon. Registration is limited.

A limited number of teen leaders will be selected to serve in leadership roles during the event. Certified 9th-12th grade (for the 2023-2024 school term) teen leaders are encouraged to apply to help facilitate lessons during the event in partnership with an assigned adult. Only Teen Leaders selected through the application process can participate in the day.
