After just finishing the indoor season, our 4-H archery team will begin its outdoor season and is taking new members. The 4-H archery team is open to youth in 4th-12th grade who live or go to school in Gordon County. Practices will be on Monday evenings from 5:30-7:30 throughout the spring with state outdoor competition on May 5-6. Fees for the outdoor archery season are $60, and if you need to rent a bow, the rental fee is $50 for the season. Hunter education certification is required for all those in 7th-12th grade.
The outdoor season begins this Monday evening, February 13, at 6 p.m. with our archery team safety meeting and a much more detailed season overview. The safety meeting is mandatory for the 4-H’er interested in participating and at least one parent. You must RSVP for the meeting by Monday, February 13 at noon.
