The 4-H archery team is open to youth in 4th-12th grade who live or go to school in Gordon County. Practices will be on Monday evenings from 5:30-7:30 throughout the fall, winter, and spring with indoor competition on January 21 and state outdoor competition on May 5-6. Fees for both indoor and outdoor archery seasons together are $100, and if you need to rent a bow, the rental fee is $50 for the season. Hunter education certification is required for all those in 7th-12th grade.

Our 4-H archery team began this past Monday evening, October 17, at 6 p.m. at the 4-H livestock pavilion with our archery team safety meeting and a much more detailed season overview. The safety meeting was mandatory for the 4-H’er interested in participating and at least one parent. If you missed this meeting and still wish for your child to participate in archery, please contact 4-H agent Allie Griner at allie.griner@uga.edu or 706-629-8685.
