From Charlsy Godowns, Director of Association Services for Georgia Junior Cattlemen’s Association:
On behalf of Georgia Junior Cattlemen’s Association, I would like to invite you and your students to attend our Fall Field Day to take place on Saturday, August 18th at Berry College in Rome, GA. We will be working through a pen of steers/heifers to evaluate and place, we will get a personal look at all of the new and improved facilities that Berry College has to offer in the Agriculture Department, including a Dairy operation, milking stations, the Berry Angus herd and facilities, labs where embryology work takes place, and hands on AI work. (No certification requirement)
Specialists and professors from UGA and Berry will be facilitating these events, and they will be tailored to fit ALL ages!!
Students are welcome to come on their own or with parents! Below is the link to the registration page. Cost for this event is $15.00 to cover lunch and a t shirt. If you have any questions regarding our program, or this event, please do not hesitate to contact me at charlsy@gabeef.org or 478-474-6560.
