The 103rd NACAA annual meeting and professional conference kicked off Sunday\u00a0in full Tennessee style.\u00a0\u00a0Our\u00a0100th President Alan Galloway opened the meeting with the usual traditions of presenting the colors and\u00a0state flags.\u00a0 Our GACAA president Steve Morgan had the honor to walk on stage and\u00a0present our Georgia flag.\u00a0 We experienced the sounds of bluegrass music\u00a0by Balsam Range, an award winning band from North Carolina.\u00a0 https:\/\/www.balsamrange.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Another first night tradition is the evening hospitality rooms.\u00a0\u00a0Members can enjoy meeting folks from around the country while partaking in eating and drinking some local fare.\u00a0 It is also the time we get to meet some of the candiates running for office.<\/p>\n

Running for Vice President is J. Craig Williams from Pennsylvania.\u00a0 Craig has been a long time agent and active in the Pennsylvania Association and currently the NACAA Northeast region director.\u00a0 He is running unopposed.<\/p>\n

Running for secretary is Virginia “Ginny” Rosenkranz from Maryland.\u00a0 Ginny has served as secretary for one year and is also running unopposed.\u00a0 Before being the NACAA secretary, she was\u00a0a Northeast region director.<\/p>\n

Those of us attending the conference had a chance to meet the current officers and candidates during the regional meetings and candidate presentations this afternoon.<\/p>\n

All of the NACAA officer positions will be elected tomorrow morning during the delegates session at 8:30 am.\u00a0 GACAA will have six voting delegates\u00a0at this session.<\/p>\n

Tonight at the conference we will enjoy the 4-H talent revue at 7:30 pm.\u00a0 4-h’ers from across the country will wow us with their talents from singing, dancing and much more.\u00a0 I am confident a 4-Her from Georgia will be among the young talent.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget tonight is our night for State pictures.\u00a0 Please join us and line up immediately after the talent revue.\u00a0 Tuesday night is State’s night out.\u00a0 President Morgan has planned an exciting dinner and boat ride for us.\u00a0 Please meet\u00a0in front of the Marriott Hotel at 4:00 pm to meet the bus for our dinner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
