This program is centered on expanding your knowledge of plants, wildlife, ecosystems, and our interaction with them.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program will include in-depth lectures, tours, hikes, and hands-on learning experiences with experts on topics including ecology, horticulture, wildlife, agriculture, limnology, pollinators, water resources, history, and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong> <strong>Deadline: <\/strong>August 22nd at 5:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program introduction at the Cobb County Extension office:<\/strong> August 29th at 10:00am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Class dates<\/strong>:<br>&#8211; <strong>September\u00a0Fridays:<\/strong>\u00a0 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th<br>&#8211; <strong>October Thursdays:\u00a0<\/strong>2rd, 9th, 16th, and 23-24th (overnight)<br>&#8211; October 30th is scheduled only as a inclement weather make-up day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time<\/strong>: The educational days start on location at 9:00 am and end at roughly 4:00 pm. This time does not include drive time to and from location or drive time to and from optional transportation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meals: <\/strong>You should pack a lunch for each program day.\u00a0 On the overnight trip, dinner the night of and breakfast the\u00a0 morning\u00a0following will be provided. Plan to purchase lunch on the second day of the overnight trip. For those taking the provided transportation, we will do our best to accommodate everyone, however you may be assigned to depart from an office that isn&#8217;t your first choice.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fee:<\/strong> $325<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Included with your fee upon completion of the program will be an embroidered Georgia Master Naturalist polo shirt, certificate of completion, and name badge. The fee also covers\u00a0weekly field trips, tours, speakers, class materials, overnight lodgings and dinner and breakfast during the overnight.
