This introductory course may be for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health benefits of eating fresh fruit and vegetables is well-supported by scientific evidence. However, an increasing (though still small) proportion of reported outbreaks of food-borne illness are traced to fresh produce. It&#8217;s crucial for farmers to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/regulatory-information\/search-fda-guidance-documents\/guidance-industry-guide-minimize-microbial-food-safety-hazards-fresh-fruits-and-vegetables#intro\">good food safety practices<\/a> on the farm to reduce the likelihood of food-borne illnesses reaching consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our one-day course is an introduction to these good agricultural practices.
