Food scene allows you to upload your own recipes or food demonstration videos to share with community. It is a great way to learn about new food or techniques or even or to just share your delicious recipes. You will also be able to look up the nearest grocery stores and farmer’s market near you, check out how to apply for food benefits, and find food resources.

My name is Shatia Coats. I am an intern for the UGA Extension and the creator of Food Scene. I am an uprising senior at Fort Valley State University, majoring in Family and Consumer Science. I came up with the idea for Food Scene during an Expanded Food and Nutrition Class. Everyone was talking about different recipes and ingredients they love to use. I thought it would be great if there was a platform to share these ideas. I also wanted a place where people could go to find various food resources. It can be overwhelming having to go to several different websites to find what you are looking for, so I made the search a little easier.
