In partnership with the University of Georgia Extension office, Gilmer County Library is pleased to host the second annual Great Georgia Pollinator Census. The event is being held on August 22, 2020 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Design, Inspire, Grow (DIG) teaching garden.We are requiring registration for this event so that we can ensure social distancing requirements are met. Patrons can register in person at the library’s circulation desk, using the form below, or by calling (706) 635-4528. We are limiting participation to 10 patrons per half hour time block with a total of eight blocks.Social distancing notices will be displayed and masks, hand sanitizer, and wipes will be available at the entrance for patron use.Additionally, library staff will be informing patrons who haven’t completed the 2020 U.S. Census that there are Census computer stations and knowledgeable staff inside the library to help them complete the decennial U.S. Census count.The Gilmer County Library is excited to participate in this important project!
