UGA Extension will host the 2026 Cotton &amp; Peanut Maturity Update on Wednesday, September 16, at the Georgia Grown Resource Center in Metter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by updates and discussion focused on current crop conditions and harvest management. The program will cover cotton defoliation, including considerations for properly timing harvest-aid applications, as well as peanut maturity and determining the appropriate time to dig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting is hosted by UGA Extension Candler and Evans Counties and the Georgia Grown Resource Center.
