The annual Northeast Georgia Beef Cattle Short Course in Athens on September 14th. This short course is typically held in January, but the planning committee wanted to go ahead with an event in 2021 so that we didn’t skip a year. This is geared more towards our cow/calf producers and will be a half-day event with all hands-on demonstration. Second, The Deep South Stocker/Backgrounder Conference is coming back to Georgia this year and will be held on September 15th in Athens. This is a collaborative effort between Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi Extension and brings in presenters from around the country. These two events make for two great days of learning and interacting with fellow producers, industry representatives, and Extension agents and specialist.
