The UGA Dairy Team is excited to introduce the launch of our new podcast, Dairy Good Dawgs. A collaborative, comprehensive audio resource hosted by our own Dr. Jillian Bohlen and Sophie Dupont, a dairy graduate student. The goal of Dairy Good Dawgs is to deliver timely and practical information directly to dairy producers, students, educators, and industry professionals across Georgia and the Southeast.
This podcast is not the mere dissemination of university expertise. Instead, it is designed to bridge gaps in conversations with the university, allied industry, farmers and students. To meet this goal, the podcast will cover an extensive range of topics that matter to the dairy community. It will also take the opportunity to collaborate with members of the dairy community and those who aspire to be a part of it. Each episode is built around conversations with a wide variety of guests whose perspectives reflect the full spectrum of the dairy industry.
By integrating scientific updates, industry developments, and producer-driven storytelling, Dairy Good Dawgs delivers content that is not only educational but grounded in the day-to-day reality of running and supporting dairy operations. In keeping with our mission, “your source for timely information and conversations on all things dairy”, the podcast also explores broader themes such as dairy education, agricultural funding, community engagement, and the importance of forward-thinking approaches that strengthen the resilience of dairy in Georgia and beyond.
