{"id":36,"date":"2017-05-18T09:36:17","date_gmt":"2017-05-18T13:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/cook\/?p=36"},"modified":"2017-05-18T09:36:17","modified_gmt":"2017-05-18T13:36:17","slug":"scrap-tire-recycle-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/cook\/2017\/05\/scrap-tire-recycle-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Scrap Tire Recycle Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SCRAP TIRE RECYCLE EVENT \u2013 NEWS RELEASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May 19 \u2013 25, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The Scrap Tire Amnesty Events to Remove Tires Dumped on City and County Right-of-Ways<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Scrap Tire Amnesty event for Cook County will take place from May 19, 2017 through May 25, 2017.\u00a0 This event allows citizens within Cook County and its municipalities to bring scrap tires to the Cook County Landfill, 1006 M.J. Taylor Road for no charge, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on those dates. <strong>The event ends on May 25, 2017.<\/strong>\u00a0 On May 26, 2017, the normal tire disposal fee for tires will resume.<\/p>\n<p>These scrap tires can only be passenger, tractor trailer, or front and rear farm tractor scrap tires.\u00a0 No heavy equipment tires, especially skidder tires; can be accepted.\u00a0 No scrap tires accepted from retail tire dealers, or commercial scrap tire generators.
