Peanut Varieties and Maturity Dates

Peanut Maturity Clinics

Peanut maturity checks will begin next week (Sept 2). Exact dates and locations TBA however we’ll be located either at the Cook Extension Office or Lenox Peanut. It takes 180 – 220 peanuts to make a sample to check for maturity. Pull up 3-4 tap roots in representative areas of a field, then combine together for the sample. Peanut maturity checks are only as accurate as the sample you collect.
