Peanut variety trials were planted in Hartsfield, at Moss Family Farms, and at the Sunbelt Ag Expo. Eight varieties were evaluated at the Hartsfield location, and each variety was replicated 4 times. Three varieties were planted at Expo, and four varieties were planted at the Moss location, and each variety was replicated three times at these locations. All plot locations were planted with twin row planters, and Thimet insecticide was applied at planting. Plots were rated for leaf spot utilizing the Florida Leaf Spot Scale. The Florida 1–10 leaf spot scale is a rating system (1=no spot, 10=complete defoliation) used to assess early and late leaf spot severity, primarily in peanut crops.TSWV was evaluated by looking for hits per 100 feet of row. Peanut yield was adjusted to 7% moisture. Plots were harvested with grower pickers and weighed with UGA nut buggy or using pad scales.

Hartsfield location: Plant date – May 23, 2025.
