Growers who implement weed control  programs from 20 to 45 days after planting (DAP) usually prevents yield  losses due to weed competition.  Weeds that emerge 45 DAP will likely  not cause competition-related yield losses but can have a negative  influence on seed quality and harvest efficiency (i.e. annual  morningglory).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/colquittag\/files\/2020\/03\/plan-of-attack.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2455\" srcset=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/colquittag\/files\/2020\/03\/plan-of-attack.jpg 630w, https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/colquittag\/files\/2020\/03\/plan-of-attack-300x238.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Please have a plan of attack&#8230; Corn producers must start clean and consider using a preemerge herbicide.
