On farm demonstrations is a great way to generate research based information for growers to use and make decisions. Below are results from on farm corn and grain sorghum demonstrations that were conducted in Colquitt County last year.

Harvesting grain sorghum plot August 2020

This study was conducted at the Sunbelt Ag Expo.  The plots was 12 rows wide and each treatment was replicated three times throughout the field.  The sorghum hybrid was Dyna-Gro 73-55.  Priaxor at 8 oz per acre applied boot stage.  Low disease pressure was noted at this site…Sorghum harvested with combine and industry weigh wagon.

Corn Response to Fungicide at V7

TreatmentBu/A at 15 % Moisture
TrivaPro 14 oz/A 225.66 A
Untreated 224.66 A

This demonstration consisted of two treatments. Each treatment was 12 rows wide and replicated three times.  Dynagro 58VC65. Low disease pressure in field.  Harvested with combine equipped with Climate Fieldview. Fungicide was applied over whole plot at VT.
