Dr. Eric Proskto, UGA Peanut Weed Specialist, educated County Agents on the weed control programs of the 2018 Georgia Peanut Achievement Club growers at a Row Crop Weed Management Training back in December. It is really interesting to see what type of production practices these 15 growers implemented in their peanut production systems. Their average yield was 6118 lb per acre, 73% deep turned their land and 93% utilized twin rows. Dr. Prostko presents this information to growers at county peanut and weed management meetings across the state.
Dr. Scott Monfort, UGA Peanut Agronomist, illustrates yield, crop rotation, land preparation and fertility programs of the Peanut Achievement Club growers in Figure 2. Figure 3 shows the crop protection programs of the Peanut Achievement Club.
