Colquitt County Peanut Production Meeting, Jan 26th at 6 pm. Dr. Scott Monfort, UGA Peanut Agronomist, will be on hand to give area growers an update on the current peanut situation and new production practices.
Colquitt County Vegetable Update, Jan 30 at noon. Keynote speakers are Dr. Tim Coolong, Extension Horticulturalist, Dr. Stormie Sparks, Extension Entomologist, and Mr. Hunt Sanders, Plant Pathology
Colquitt County Cotton/Soybean, Feb 6th at 8 am. The keynote speakers at this production meeting will be Drs. Jared Whitaker, UGA Cotton/Soybean Agronomist, and Phillip Roberts, UGA Cotton/Soybean Entomologist. Area cotton and soybean growers will get an update on topics such as agronomics and insect management.
Colquitt County Pecan Production Meeting, Feb 9 at noon. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Lenny Wells, Extension Pecan Horticulturalist
Colquitt County Small Grain Production Update, Feb. 17th at 6 pm. Dr. Dewey Lee, UGA Small Grain Agronomist, will be in attendance to give area growers a production update on corn, sorghum and the current wheat situation.
Colquitt County Row Crop Disease Meeting, Feb 18 at 6 pm. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Bob Kemerait, UGA Plant Pathologist. Bob will update area producers on what is new in row crop disease management.
Area Tobacco Production Meeting, Feb. 19th at 10:00 am. Area tobacco growers will get an update on agronomics, disease control and other production topics.
Colquitt County Weed Management Meeting, Feb 26th at noon. Drs. Stanley Culpepper and Eric Prostko, UGA Weed Specialists, will be at the meeting to update growers on what is new in the world of row crop weed management.
