The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division is hosting a Climate Conference on November 2-3, 2016 at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Speakers and presentations will illustrate the issues surrounding statewide resiliency including Public Health, Agriculture, Research, GIS\/Mapping, GIS Tools, Law and Policy, Invasive Species, Local Governments, Communications, Economics, Resiliency and Adaptation, Habitat and Impacted Species, Energy Resources, and State Efforts.\u00a0 This conference will include multiple concurrent topic sessions, a poster session and social, and networking breaks.<\/p>\n

Poster submissions will be allowed until October 15th, or until a maximum of 30 submissions, please click here <\/a>for poster submission instructions.<\/p>\n

Carl Parker<\/strong> from The Weather Channel<\/strong> will be the Keynote Luncheon guest speaker!<\/p>\n

Persons such as public health officials, researchers, GIS users, lawyers, resource managers, local government officals, outreach specialists, economists, NGOs, and those from the private sector will benefit from the information exchange and networking opportunities available at this conference.<\/p>\n

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

This conferece is approved to provide American Planning Association CUs and is pending approval for continuing education credits for Floodplain Managers as well as continuing law credits for Attorneys (stay tunded for more details).<\/p>\n
