rain for most of Southeast this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest 7 day QPF map shows that most of the Southeast should get a moderate amount of rain over the next week. \u00a0Most areas are projected to get about one to one and a half inches. \u00a0Keep in mind that this is only a forecast. \u00a0Last week&#8217;s forecast was woefully incorrect, as the slowly spinning low pressure center, moved west faster than expected and brought the heaviest rain to Mississippi and Louisiana. \u00a0Some stations there received 20 inches in the last day!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2016\/08\/7-day-qpf-8-13-2016.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7961\" Center. \u00a0The pattern was actually not too bad for the eastern part of the Southeast, but it missed the dry conditions that occurred in north Georgia and eastern Alabama.<\/p>\n<p><a
