{"id":7422,"date":"2016-06-17T16:32:48","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T20:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/?p=7422"},"modified":"2016-06-17T16:32:48","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T20:32:48","slug":"happy-18th-birthday-cocorahs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/2016\/06\/happy-18th-birthday-cocorahs\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy 18th birthday, CoCoRaHS!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today marks the 18th birthday of the Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow network, more frequently known as CoCoRaHS. \u00a0Nolan Doesken, the founder of the network, has some interesting information on how the network got started in his most recent newsletter, which you can read <a href=\"https:\/\/us1.campaign-archive2.com\/?u=00577ca59c6e6aa18cc70743c&amp;id=95f9160616&amp;e=0a14f4458f\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have been a CoCoRaHS observer in Clarke County, Georgia, since the network started in that state, and am also a regional coordinator for regions 1 and 3 there. \u00a0Many of you may be CoCoRaHS observers as well. \u00a0If you are not, now is a great time to start!
