You can read it at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.climate.gov\/news-features\/blogs\/beyond-data\/first-dates\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.climate.gov\/news-features\/blogs\/beyond-data\/first-dates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the Southeast, it is difficult to do good scientific studies of snowfall because the data are not very complete. \u00a0Snow does not fall every year in many places, and when precipitation is frozen, the snow and ice depths are often not recorded, or are recorded incorrectly.
