The map of ice shows the huge extent of freezing rain that occurred in the storm, including the freezing rain that occurred in the Southeast as warm air rode over a wedge of cold air moving down the east side of the Southern Appalachians.  According to LinkedIn comments,  &#8220;Over the span of 54 hours, this ice storm has led to major impacts. Northern MS, southwestern AR, and southeastern OK saw ice accumulation possibly surpassing 1 inch. Just east of Oxford, MS the max estimated ice accumulation was 1.24 inches!
