I have heard of numerous livestock producers having to feed hay because the pastures have dried up. This is especially bad this time of year because the farmers were hoping to get one last hay cutting to help tide them over the winter, and that does not look like it will happen either unless the rain comes soon. Here is a story from UF\/IFAS on how livestock producers can stretch out their hay reserves during this dry period.
