Last week, NOAA released their monthly climate summary for the globe. In the report it notes that this is the 13th month in a row of record-setting temperatures. It was also the 2nd lowest June Antarctic ice extent. The highlights: Global tropical cyclone activity was below average, with only two named storms\u00a0, temperatures were above average over much of the globe with Africa, Asia and South America having their warmest June on record, sea surface temperatures were record warm for the 15th consecutive month, Northern Hemisphere snow cover extent and global sea ice extent were both below average.\u00a0In addition, Hurricane Beryl was the earliest category 5 Atlantic storm on record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
