If you are in danger of being affected by a tropical storm or hurricane this year (that includes all of the Southeast plus many areas beyond it from South Texas to Halifax, Nova Scotia), you need to prepare now for the coming season, because it is likely to be very active and meteorologists are not able to predict the path of any storms so far ahead of time.
