This is due to the combination of unusually warm temperatures in winter, which allowed the peach trees to bloom much earlier than usual, and two devastating frosts in mid-March which destroyed a large part of the blooms and thus, this year&#8217;s fruit. While the final losses are still to be tallied, it is likely that the season will be short and the peaches hard to come by.
