Are you interested in learning more about flash drought or describing how it has affected your community? You may be interested in attending this upcoming workshop on flash drought to be held in Boulder CO on May 2-4. I plan to attend and hope to see a few of you there. Call for Presentations and Posters<\/strong>
Would you like the opportunity to showcase your work or experience around flash drought through either an oral presentation or poster at the workshop? If so, please consider submitting an abstract! We are looking for oral presentations or posters on the following topics (virtual presentations are an option<\/em>):
Flash drought case studies
Flash drought monitoring Flash drought prediction
Emerging scientific advancements in flash drought
Innovative planning for flash drought
Call for Flash Drought Tools<\/strong>
Would you like the opportunity to showcase your flash drought-oriented tool during a Tools Cafe at the workshop? We are looking for people that would like to host a Tools Cafe table to showcase their flash drought tool. These could be tools for flash drought monitoring, prediction, planning, and\/or communication.
Deadline for submissions: March 22, 2023 (end of day)<\/strong>
Notification of acceptance will be provided by April 2, 2023<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Who<\/strong>: This workshop is free and open to all, and is particularly relevant to those entities that engage in the following activities:
Monitoring drought conditions
Engaging in drought mitigation and water planning 
Utilizing drought information in decision making 
Providing information on drought conditions and impacts
Conducting research related to flash drought
Sharing drought information through communication and outreach
