The incredible rainfall that they have had in the Pacific Northwest has cut off parts of British Columbia, leaving dairy farms having to deal with lack of transportation for milk and supplies. Many animals also had to be rescued from the flood water, leaving farmers exhausted. The floods have also stopped the transportation of wheat and canola due to washed-out roads and bridges. This is especially tragic after the devastating heat spell the region experienced this summer, another costly disaster. Here are a few of the stories about this “atmospheric river event”, which dropped 8 inches of rain in less than a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
