I appreciate their creativity in what is a very boring forecast situation, and I think they have done a great job showing the &#8220;rinse and repeat&#8221; nature of our daily thunderstorms (one of which has just passed through Athens as I write this).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">LONG TERM \/Wednesday through Monday\/...\n\nTo avoid a redundant, monotonous, and repetitive monologue regarding the long term forecast, the following discussion will be provided through a series of haikus...\n\nExtended forecast:\nIt`s warm and wet in Georgia,\nwith no end in sight.\n\nThe forecast remains\nunchanging, uneventful,\nsteady everyday.\n\nInsignificant\nsynoptic influences\nplanned for the Southeast.\n\nWith no real focus,\nexpect a rinse and repeat\n<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=diurnal\">diurnal<\/a> forecast.\n\nAbundant <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=moisture\">moisture<\/a>,\n<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=precipitable%20water\">precipitable water<\/a>\nclose to two inches.\n\nHigh temps near ninety,\nforty to sixty percent\nchance of rain each day.\n\n<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=Scattered\">Scattered<\/a> thunderstorms\nforecast each afternoon with\ngusts and heavy rain.\n\nMost storms should be weak,\nbut <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=isolated\">isolated<\/a> severe\ncannot be ruled out.\n\nAlso possible\nis <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=isolated\">isolated<\/a> flooding\nwith persistent rains.\n\nA mid-level <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=ridge\">ridge<\/a>\nwill begin to be displaced\nby a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=trough\">trough<\/a> next week.\n\nHow far the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/glossary.php?word=trough\">trough<\/a> sinks\nis yet to be determined.\nOnly time will tell.\n\nThiem\n\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2021\/07\/Riding_the_sky_7th_Brigade_Park_Chermside_DSCF4746.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2021\/07\/Riding_the_sky_7th_Brigade_Park_Chermside_DSCF4746.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22098\" srcset=\"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2021\/07\/Riding_the_sky_7th_Brigade_Park_Chermside_DSCF4746.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2021\/07\/Riding_the_sky_7th_Brigade_Park_Chermside_DSCF4746-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/climate\/files\/2021\/07\/Riding_the_sky_7th_Brigade_Park_Chermside_DSCF4746-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our local National Weather Service office in Peachtree City, GA, has produced a unique long-range forecast for this week, written all in Haiku.
