It showed that May was quite mild across the US, with most of the Southeast cooler than normal but the Florida peninsula warmer than normal. Most of the Southeast was also drier than normal other than Alabama and a band of rain through northern Georgia. For most of the region, the spring months of March through May were warmer and drier than normal.
