Instead of looking at the weather records this time, I took a look at some of the historical newspaper reports of the outbreak. Here are some screen shots from the <em>Augusta Herald<\/em> describing some of the problems this outbreak caused. Imagine what $50,000 in damage to pipes in 1917 dollars would cost now!
