Researchers with Auburn University\u2019s School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences are currently working on a \u201cDowned Timber Initiative,\u201d which aims to develop new methods of using fallen trees and branches decimated by hurricanes that would otherwise go to waste or be burned, and developing them into innovative products, according to an article in <em>Growing Georgia<\/em>.
