Folks around the Southeast are starting to assess the damage from Hurricane Sally as it crept onshore yesterday and moved off to the northeast through central Georgia. Because of the slow forward movement of the storm, parts of the coast were subjected to hours of hurricane-force wind which caused problems for cotton and pecans.
