It contains a very comprehensive description of how climate affects agriculture, including extreme weather, indicators like degree days and chill hours, livestock and outdoor worker heat stress, and crop insurance. I use this information every day in my work, and I am very pleased that this was all gathered together in one place. Service to agriculture is the #1 one reason why UGA has their weather network, and we hope that the information we provide at <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.uga.edu\/\">https:\/\/weather.uga.edu\/<\/a> continues to be of use to extension agents and producers in the future, as well as university and K-12 students, businesses, and many others.
